Pokemon Go

What is it and what does it do? And why is it so hot right now?

An excerpt from Wikipedia states simplistically,

“Pokémon GO is an augmented-reality game developed by Nintendo for iOS and Android devices. The game was released in July 2016. The game allows players to capture, battle, train, and trade virtual Pokémon who appear throughout the real world.”

Pokémon Go is an augmented reality game in which users can hunt and catch Pokémon in real time and in the real world. The game provides a map that is linked to your phone’s GPS and camera  — meaning you could find a Charmander in your backyard. It notifies you if there’s a Pokémon on your map, allowing you to travel to it and try to catch it by swiping a Pokéball on your phone screen.

You Tube Pokemon Go

This game is so hot that friends and work colleges that I would not have imagined being interested are off chasing Pokemon!

You start off on your way by the oddly attractive Professor Willow, wearing strange pants, who asks you to join and help him with his research. You then are given the opportunity to create a character for yourself which includes giving yourself your own style a bit like The Sims. There is a real world map of your area which moves with you via GPS on your iPhone or Android Phone
