Geek, Car enthusiast, Aviation enthusiast, Traveller, Confirmed Batchelor. I was born in Sydney, and attended first Mosman Prep School and then Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School in Sydney’s Middle Cove. I did my H.S.C. and year 12 in 1987, and then did a Diploma of Graphic Design the following year at the now closed School of Visual Art in Crown Street. I moved to Canberra in 1991 and partially did a bachelor of computer studies but dropped out and became a mobile phone salesperson. I moved to Brisbane in October 1994 and have been there ever since.
Ive always been interested in technology and often used to take home old junk home from the dump to pull apart (much to my mother’s disgust!) I got my first computer, an Atari 400 with the matching Atari 410 tape drive in 1984.
Working in a mobile phone and computer shop in Canberra in the early 1990’s was fantastic for me, even if I didn’t sell a lot of phones!
My first real PC was an IBM-486 clone with a dial up modem and I spent hours and hours on the internet in the mid 1990’s as I still do today. This was then followed up by a custom made PC with an AMD 64 Athlon chip, and Windows XP which I still have today though it is gathering dust unused. A huge beast of a thing. I currently have an Apple iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011).
